E3: Super Smash Bros. Brawl Announced for Wii

Well, it looks like the next Super Smash Bros. will be coming out next year for Wii. From the screenshots from E3 so far, it looks okay; all the characters have gotten a polygon boost. However, the big "surprise" is in this trailer, towards the last quarter of the video:

Something (or someone) you would never probably would have expected to show up in a SSB game. And yes, it's official.

O...M...G...

The single reason I bought the game cube was because of smash brothers and a hope that nintendo would make sport games... It turned out that the Game Cube became the Gay Cube and all the games sucked...

Seeing this video has made me change my mind about wii (I can't believe I just said that). This game looks great... but I need to know more before I'm stupid and get a wii...

I heard that sound that calls Snake and I got the chills. That should be pretty cool with him in the game!

SSBM was the first gamecube game i bought.
and it rocks. SSB is so cool /heh
altough i dont know how to play SSB with a remote >_>

Actually, this one came out at the beginning of the month, but I didn't find out about it until now. The new trailer shows off some of the new stages more, as well as some character moves. Also, Fox is a confirmed SSB:B character, but that wasn't a big surprise.

EDIT: ooooooh nice.
I like seeing the capabilities of the newer characters, It looks like the characters that are carrying over from SSBM have similar/the same moves they had before. That's probably a good thing though.

One thing about the trailer scares me though. Are some of the characters from SSBM not going to continue to Brawl? I'd really hate to lose Marth and the ice climbers. That makes me wonder if there are going to be any clones in brawl. The clones irritated me in Melee.

The official Super Smash Bros. Brawl website was just recently updated. A new tidbit reveals that there will be four ways to play SSB:B:

I think I'll probably use the GameCube controller, since that's what I'm used to using from Super Smash Bros. Melee.

ill crush all of you in SSBM. i got ranked second in my state..

anyawyz, the wii version won't really use wii functions and would mostly depend on the same controls that the GC did

@smo, no good games? ur kidding me. Tales of Symphonia, Resident Evil 4, F-Zero, Legend of Zelda WW (dont give me the bad graphics crap, it was a good game), and lots more

also, I have to agree with Deity that Tales of Symphonia is an awesome game. I've played it through waaaay more times than is healthy (300+hours? ^_^)

Nintendo updated the Super Smash Bros. Brawl today and announced the launch date for North America:

why dont they put all the old characters from SSBM in it..

why make a new game, and NOT put in half the characters from the last.. we all love to play "mr game and watch"...
