oops, I need to respond to that >.< lol
It's the surprise round and there's the whole 1 action limit thingy (I just realized falco shouldn't have been able to cover all that distance w/ his charge but I'm too nice to take it back XP) you move and can move+attack next turn if the orc survives.

lol XD you're both looting the same orc. I'll tell you what both of them have.
the one w/ chainmail has...
masterwork chainmail, a masterwork bastard sword, a heavy wooden shield, one unlabeled potion*, and 15 gold pieces
*the potion is in a single dose vial. It's light green in color (like new growth in the spring) and has no discernible odor.
the other one has...
a greataxe, studded leather armor, and 20 silver pieces
ummm... there are two doors (other than the two you came in through) one is one the left side of the far wall and the other is near the middle of the wall (kinda right-ish). Both doors are made of wood and look essentially the same. The door on the left is a single door, the right is a double door, and they all open outward (toward you). There's a large fireplace (10 ft wide) 10 feet to the right of the left door (not on the map I made).
There's not a lot to this room, but if you look around you may find some things that aren't immediately obvious.

you do a casual search of the room and don't find anything else.

nice weapons. just to be sure on detail, ill pick up the money. dont worry. i believe in party money, that way no one gets ripped off.
falco - you can have the armor, i have normal chain think.
i will do a careful search of the floor areas, especially under tables, and around the fireplace. im looking for secret passages and such, maybe compartments or invisible stuffs. =D
no skill ranks in search.
we should be sure to pick up all the gear. who needs a bastard sword, masterwork? i have a bo (staff), and falco has axe. dont forget about weapon proficiencies. we might have to leavee stuff if its too heavy, but i think its a good idea to take the masterwork stuff. if we cant use it, we can sell it.
the vial...idk. for some reason i have this preconcieved idea that health potions are kind of pink? anyway, spring growth doesnt strike me as dangerous, but i think we shouldnt drink it unless we need to. but then again, if its bad it could kill us. i guess i'll take a sniff and try to identify it.
EDIT: new idea - i will cast 'detect poison' on it. thsi at least will tell us good or bad. maybe.
my wis mod is +4.

heh, I'm not evil enough to add a potion of poison to a 1st level campaign (I drank one once XP). The potion's not poisonous. you don't notice any poison in the room either.
aaand, careful search of floors and fireplace... You don't find anything to make you think there's a secret passage. You do notice a bit more about the fireplace itself though.
It's a deep fireplace that's useful for cooking as well as heat. There's a niche in the back about three feet high and 2 feet deeper than the upper part of the fireplace. There's a small (not disguised) hatch near the middle. Your best guess is that the hatch is used to add wood from another room. There's no visible handle or latch mechanism on this side. You can't do a hands-on examination because there's a low fire burning in the fireplace.

As you walk up to the doors you hear nothing, but when you put your ear to the door, you can hear muffled voices. There are at least three voices and they're speaking loudly, but it's too muffled to make out what they're saying.
Somebody tell ben to check his PMs so he can tell me whether of not I should add him.
