Elves get automatic proficiency with the rapier, longsword, shortbow, and longbow. ;D
I'd recommend that you use a longbow most of the time. If you want to have some decent skill in melee combat, use a rapier and take the Weapon Finesse feat. I recommend that you use a longsword to start though. (If you're forced into melee anyway. You should probably avoid that though.)

soooo yeah. I'd say that since you're an elf and you get the free proficiencies, use a longbow and a longsword. You may consider using a spear (instead of the sword) for various reasons though (it can be thrown ^_^)

k, I'll add the stuff you're missing

5 hp

14 ac (10+4dex)

grapple modifier= +1

Base attack bonus= +0

Attacks:
Longsword | +1 to hit | 1d8+1 damage| 19-20 crit

Shortbow | +4 to hit | 1d6 damage | x3 crit
(longbows are way more expensive, you'll probably find one though)

Other equipment (its the starting package from the book):
Backpack, waterskin, one day's trail rations, bedroll, sack, flint and steel, hooded lantern, five pints oil, spell component pouch, quiver with 20 arrows.

Feat(s):
Combat casting (makes it easier to cast spells in melee combat)

Skills:
Spellcraft +5 (4 ranks)
Concentration +5 (4 ranks)/ +9 to cast defensively (from combat casting)
Bluff +6 (2 ranks)
Knowledge (arcana) +3 (2 ranks)

Spells per day 5/4 (5 level 0, and 4 level 1)

Spells known:
4 level 0 (cantrips):detect magic, ghost sound, light, read magic
2 level 1: magic missile, sleep

Detect magic lets you... well, concentrate to detect magic. Ghost sound creates illusory sounds that you control. Light enchants something you touch to produce light (similar to a torch) for 10 minutes (more once you get more powerful). Read magic lets you read scrolls and stuff w/o having to make spellcraft checks.

Magic missile hits one creature for 1d4+1 damage that can't miss (more hits at higher level). Sleep causes creatures within the target area to fall asleep if they fail a will save, but it can only affect a (very) limited number of enemies (this one doesn't improve with level. I recommend replacing it in a few levels)

Just a reminder about your spells. The two level 1 spells are nice, and if you use them at every opportunity, you'll own stuff. Keep a note in the back of your mind that you can only use 4 level 1 spells per day though.

EDIT: oh! you can have a familiar too. At this level, it's mostly a pet. It gets pretty strong at higher levels though. You can choose not to have on if you don't want one for some reason... Anyway, here are my recommendations (and their benefits)

Hawk (+3 bonus on spot checks in light)
Cat (+3 on move silently)
Toad (you gain 3 hp)

>.< I forgot your racial traits too

Immunity to magical sleep effects
+2 bonus to resist enchantment effects
Low-light vision
Free weapon proficiencies
+2 to spot, listen, and search
If you pass within 5 feet of a secret door you are entiled to a search check as though actively searching for it
Languages: Common, Elven, and one that you get to pick (Draconic is nice)
Favored class: Wizard
