I need to get this idea out of my head. It's too distracting XP

I've been looking at other forums that run play-by-post games of various types, and I have an idea for making a game that will work here. Our problems last time were

-people randomly stopped posting
-I was lazy and forgot a lot of stuff/procrastinated updates
-we had no organization to our info at all

I'm thinking that we could try a looser game with less attention to detail this time. It won't be planned very far in advance unlike last time (I was working from a previous game). I'll DM at the start, but if I get tired of it or someone else wants to try we can just switch. Last time there were 2 people who wanted to start playing but never got a chance to because we were too busy doing other stuff to introduce them, yet at the same time we were sitting around waiting for other people to post their actions. So umm, let me sum this up.

I'l like to try a game where...
-the story is unplanned
-there's a time limit on posting to keep things moving
-we'll let people enter/leave the game relatively freely
-if one DM gets lazy someone else can do it for a while

As for the system, we'll start with the basic rules from the SRD I mentioned in the resources thread and see how it goes from there.

I'll work out the specifics if enough people are interested. Sooooo yeah. If you wanna play, just say so in this thread. I think 3 active players should be plenty to get this started. Experience with D&D isn't important, I just wanna know who wants to play with me cuz I'm bored and stressed out T.T

Lets try another D&D like we did last time =P. I enjoyed that.

Hmmm... At the rate this is going it's not looking like we're going to get this off the ground. There's one person officially interested... Well would you like to go ahead and make a character? If I get a good idea I'll try to start this with just one player. I was planning on playing a character myself anyway.

edit: looks like we'll be starting something. I'll post character guidelines and some example character threads tomorrow (err, later today actually). Unfortunately, I seem to require sleep.

Well... as with most ideas that roll around in my head for a while, I've fleshed out some ideas for a game pretty well (at least the start of it).

I have this reeeealy interesting possibility that could turn out really well if you wanna try it. Would you like to make amnesiac characters with no background? It's simpler for you and gives me a lot of cool story possibilities (including flashbacks @.@). If you'd rather make normal characters that works too though. What do the people who plan on playing think of this?

btw, if someone would like to post in this thread that'd be fine really... It seems like most of the discussion for this game is going on in the shoutbox and the count XD

okies... let's make another post here so sum up our progress.

Saxire has a character with all his important stats filled in. Minor details like appearance and background can be filled in later (amnesiac background is still an option ^_^)

Tarquin has some choices to make for his spell selection. He also needs a race and equipment. After that he'll have a playable character same as Saxire. If you want me to do that for you too just ask. Basically, once your character is ready to play I'll suggest how we start the game and/or just make a new thread and jump in (I have the opening scene in my head!).

It's a little discouraging that I'm the only one actively posting on this =/ Do you guys want to play? Don't force yourself if you don't want to because I want this to be a fun thing.

Im really sorry, its just that I have been having a MAD MAD week. You see, im staging a play (that is, acting) this week and so Im not home almost 14 hours a day. Its getting over this week. This is the reaon I have been kinda inactive, both on forums as well as ingame. I do so want to ply a D&D game, but i will be very busy this week. The plays last show is on the 29th. ONce thats done, I have time to waste, loads of time to waste
However, I will find sometime in between to make my spell choices as well as race and equipment.

Has anything else fallen out of the sky to consume your free time? We're thiiiis close to being ready to play *holds fingers .18 millimeters apart* well... now that I think about it, maybe not quite that close, but you get the idea. I'm gonna go sleep/think on ways to make the game play well.

Um i sorta thought up a crude background for my character.. but it may not be that good :-[

Okies, like I said Saxire has a character ready to play, so as soon as we have one more character ready I'll start. Waiting around was what made it get boring last time so we'll just fit in the last character when they get ready.

I have an idea for the intro scene and I'll need to know how to fit your characters in. I know what Saxire's doing. If either of you wants to join him with the amnesia background that's an easy way to fit you in. Otherwise I'd like to know what kind of things your characters might be doing. How does your character travel and what kind of work/adventuring do they do? Travel alone? In a group? Work as a merchant? Traveling specialist of some kind? Would you do mercenary work?

oh oh oh im thinking of making a Human or dwarf cleric, choose what race guysm
