n 0 n ooohh sexy one ... could you suggest me some nice Video Card i shuold get ?
My intelchip family set thing is just to crappy, (i have noticed when a friend asked me to try Lineage 2)
My pc doesnt load, but my video card cant handle too much of the background at highest quality and total full distance , it kinda cuts like it looks like some bunch of images stead of fluid movements when y look at the Tower of Insolence (giant tower that you can see from very very far away)
Also, do you know if dust can be really deadly for your pc? like , can it affect the loading time ? , how do you guys clean yours, :S i kinda got an Air Blower made for PCs but i wish i had some mini vacuum to suck all the dust that goes inside tho.

These can usually be adjusted in the 'Video Options' of any 3D PC game. However, if your video card is not up to snuff, the game will run like a slide show if too high of a setting is enabled. My pc doesnt load, but my video card cant handle too much of the background at highest quality and total full distance , it kinda cuts like it looks like some bunch of images stead of fluid movements when y look at the Tower of Insolence (giant tower that you can see from very very far away)
Dust buildup is normal in PCs, due to necessary air intake for PC cooling. However, if you have too much dust in your system, it can clog up the system fans, which can cause the PC to overheat and shut down. I usually dust out my PC once a month, since my house has a lot of dust. I use compressed air canisters to clean out the dust; they're very effective. Also, do you know if dust can be really deadly for your pc? like , can it affect the loading time ? , how do you guys clean yours, :S i kinda got an Air Blower made for PCs but i wish i had some mini vacuum to suck all the dust that goes inside tho.
Alright, before recommending some video cards, I need to ask a few questions. If you can't answer them, that's okay, just answer the best as you can:
1.) What is your budget (max $$ you would be willing to spend)?
2.) Which games do you usually play? Are they old or new games?
3.) What brand & model number is your computer?
4.) Does your computer have an available PCI Express slot? If not, does it have an available AGP slot?
5.) What is the optimal resolution of your monitor (1024x768, 1280x1024, etc.)?
6.) How large is your monitor (15 in., 17 in., 19 in., 20 in., 22 in., 24 in., etc.)?
7.) What is the rated wattage of your power supply unit (important, since some of the higher end video consume lots of power)?
If you have a PCI Express slot (which most computers made after 2004 have), you're in luck, as you have a lot of options for video cards. Here are my recommended video cards (all of them are PCI-E, BTW). I've sorted them in order of performance (top is best, bottom is lowest):
$444.99 - GeForce GTX 280 1 GB: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6814133228
$274.99 - Radeon HD 4870 512 MB: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6814103061
$289.99 - GeForce GTX 260 896 MB: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6814261016
$174.99 - Radeon HD 4850 512 MB: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6814102747
$184.99 - GeForce 9800 GTX 512 MB: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6814500037
$129.99 - Radeon HD 3870 512 MB: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6814125086
$114.99 - GeForce 9600 GT 512 MB: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6814261002
$99.99 - Radeon HD 3850 512 MB: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6814103051
All of these cards are excellent performers. Depending on your monitor resolution and the games you play, some can be considered overkill. If you game at resolutions lower than 1600 x 1200, the HD 4870 and GTX 260/280 are probably overkill, as the cards below them can play current games at max or very high settings on lower resolutions (i.e 1024 x 768, 1280 x 1024), depending on the game.
The Radeon HD 4850s are very popular cards right now, since they're very affordable and offer incredible performance in 3D games. With this summer's price war between nVIDIA and ATi, the lowest you can get on a HD 4850 (in the U.S.) is ~$174.99. Another popular card is the GeForce 9800 GTX, which can also be found for an affordable price. However, most reviews show that the HD 4850 beats out the 9800 GTX slightly in several games (especially when anti-aliasing (AA) is enabled), so you should probably get the HD 4850 over the 9800 GTX, if you're looking in that price range.
At the bottom are the HD 3870, 9600 GT and the HD 3850. The HD 3870 and the 9600 GT are generally equal performers in most games, so I would recommend whichever you can find the cheapest. The HD 3850 is the cheapest on the list, but is no slouch in older and even newer games. It's generally about ~25% slower than the HD 3870/9600 GT.

Re: Great and wise Yoon i summon you and your sexy knowledge
I guess Intel is busy being the world's no. 1 CPU maker than focus on their graphics division, although that may change next year, when Intel gets serious about graphics...longshin wrote:WOww Yoon you are so pro :'333333 ....thanks for the advice on the air blower ...hmm let me try to answer and yes :'< intel sucks at making video cards I dont get why do they try to make them stead of allying- fusioning to a video card company :'< *sob sob*
Great, that will be enough to get a nice video card.1) My max budget would probably be around 400 bucks.
Games like Gears of Wars and Call of Duty 4 are graphics demanding, so getting a good video card will make a huge difference in graphics and game speed.2) I normally play descent this years games, not as new as Gears of War (i bought it sob sob cause i have the ram and the space enough but it said "your VIDEO CARD sucks! >:0 go get a real one if you want to play me!)
I normally play:
-MMORPG: Lineage 2, WoW (:'< are you still playing at a private server, if you do tell me i would like to check if not come L2 i miss you guys), etc.

Here is the specifications for the model that you listed: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/docu ... ng=fr#N4703) My computer is a
HP - Pavilion PC a6030la
4) Sadly I'm too noobish with PCs I cant tell for sure if my pc has them but since the model was made last year(I think it came out last year) I suppose it might have a PCI Express Slot.

According to the specs., it appears that you have a PCI Express 16X slot, so you are eligible to upgrade to a PCI-E card. However, the power supply unit is not listed, but I fear that it might be a low wattage power supply (probably ~250W), since it is more of a Internet & e-mail PC. If you do get a video card, you will likely need to get a higher wattage power supply unit as well, since video cards require higher wattage (400W and higher) power supply units.
That's a nice size monitor. With that size, it is definitely going to be 1680 x 1050.5) woww >_< how do i ask my monitor wich is the optimal resolution? .... i think i put Factory Reset, but im not sure yet , My monitor is actually at
1680x1050 60hz
6) it is 22 in
Based on the answers you have given, I would probably recommend getting the Radeon HD 4850, as that card will run all the games that you've listed very well, at 1680 x 1050 resolution. The GeForce 9800 GTX is also a great alternative, if you can find that cheaper than the HD 4850.
However, it's likely that you will need to upgrade your power supply unit (PSU) if you decide to get these video cards, so I would recommend getting at least a 400W (or higher) PSU. Make sure you get a quality brand (usually $40 or higher), since you don't want this to happen to you: http://corsair.com/cinema/movie.aspx?id=622747
They might be more expensive in retail stores, since retailers usually charge 25% - 50% more than online stores. Based on online prices, you should not have to spend more than $190 USD on the HD 4850.About the Video Card models you chose they sound very cool, i was looking around today at the pc apartment at the mall, and they were gonna get new NVIDIA models soon, so i might have a nice chance to see new models, wich means a experiences opinion like yours yoon would probably be of great help n_n
