Google Launches Google Chrome - A New Web Browser

Google has officially entered into the web browser wars, as they just launched their own web browser (called Google Chrome) today. You can download the beta version of Google Chrome here:

http://www.google.com/chrome

Haven't tried it yet, but from the screenshots, it does look clean and simplistic. Although it is still beta, there are some interesting features. One feature of Google Chrome that intrigues me is that each browsing tab is on a separate process, meaning that those who have multi-core systems will see some speed advantages on this browser, unlike IE7 and Firefox 3, which are all under a single process. :o

Anyone else thinking of trying this out?

Nifty. I think I'll install that now and see how it works over the next few weeks (in the little time I spend using XP)

Oh, I am going to download and try this. Seeing that I have got a quad core PC, it should work out well if it does as what it says. I will edit this post and tell you my thoughts later :>

Wow, it looks like Google Chrome is already very popular. Fudzilla is reporting that Chrome already has taken a browser marketshare of 3.0008% in just one day. :o It's already more popular than Opera, and will likely fly past Apple's Safari browser very shortly. Stats can be found at this link:

lol O.o

I guess people like google. Maybe I should go play around in XP so I can try it.

edit: Hmm, seems to have gone back down. I guess some people were just testing it out quickly. I wonder if it'll go back up.

I just downloaded and installed it today. I got sick of Firefox after the last install. It started looking like Netscape. I'm really digging the most visited page. :3

I'm linking it too. The one-box-for-everything thing is working really well for me and I like how efficient it is with space. The most visited page is also way more useful than a blank new tab too.

I miss some of my add-ons from firefox, but that's my only real complaint so far.
